ZURICRIT ist ein Fixed-Gear-Criterium. Das heisst, die Velos haben keine Bremsen und können nur mit einem starren Gang gefahren werden. Die Athletinnen und Athleten müssen mit ihrer eigenen Muskelkraft das Velo auf die entsprechende Geschwindigkeit drosseln. Für die Zuschauer entlang des Rundkurses ist grosses Spektakel garantiert.
